These Terms of Service apply to the service (the "Service") provided by us.
In these Terms of Service "you" refers to either or both of: i) the individual registered user of the Service; and ii) any employing entity on whose behalf that user is accessing the Service (such as a company accessing documents related to an alumnus for recruitment purposes).
By using the Service you accept these Terms of Service on your own behalf and, where relevant, on behalf of your employer (in which case you warrant that you are authorized by your employer to do so).
These Terms of Service apply to the Service only. They do not otherwise affect any other contract you may have with us.
Opening Your Account, Fees and Payment
Registration. In order to access the Service, you require a user account.
We offer three kinds of accounts:
To obtain an account, we will either provide you with account details, enable access via single sign on or require you to register to use the Service. To register you will be asked to provide certain information, depending on the category of your user account, but which may include your name, email address, date of birth, employing organisation and password. Any personal data you provide to us in connection with your use of the Service will be used by the us in accordance with our privacy policy. You must ensure that any information provided to us for the purposes of creating or managing user accounts is accurate.
Fees. The Service may require fees to be paid for some activities, such as viewing electronic documents and purchasing printed copies of documents.
Payment: You can make payment by following the instructions on the Service. We accept payment through the methods permitted by our payment processing service provider. We do not collect or process your credit or debit card details ourselves (other than the last four digits of your credit or debit card number as a transaction reference).
Consumer rights. Consumers in the United Kingdom are generally entitled to certain cancellation rights in relation to contracts concluded at a distance, under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 and the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (together the "CRA"). However, the CRA provides that no such cancellation rights apply in relation to digital content once it has been downloaded. You therefore acknowledge and accept that you will have no rights under the CRA to cancel and claim the return of your fee once you have accessed or downloaded any Documentation.
Using the Service
Our obligations. We shall provide the functions of the Service to you in accordance with these Terms of Service. Some of these functions will only be available to users who have registered with us.
Your obligations. In using the Service you must comply with the following:
you must keep your account and password login details secure, and not allow anyone else to use your account or share access credentials among multiple users. If any activity takes place on your account then you are responsible for it. You must let us know immediately if you discover or suspect that someone else has accessed your account.
Third party access: if you are a student/learner/graduate/alumnus you may allow third parties to access the Documentation through their own third party user accounts. If you do so:
The Documentation
Preserving the Documentation: You must not alter or amend Documentation made available through the Service (for example, to mislead as to any accreditation achieved by you or to remove any copyright or confidentiality notices, disclaimers or other wording included in the Documentation us).
Confidentiality: Depending on the nature and content of the Documentation, some of it may be confidential in nature (either to you or to us). You should be aware that if you choose to share Documentation with third parties, it will be your responsibility to ensure that they keep the Documentation confidential,
Amendment: We do not guarantee the completeness or accuracy of any Documentation. If you become aware of any error in, or corruption of, any Documentation, you should notify us so we can correct the matter.
Liability
This section explains the ways in which our liability to you is limited and excluded.
Indemnity
If we are subject to any third-party claim as a result of your breach of any of your obligations under these Terms of Service, or as a result of your negligence, misrepresentation or other wrongful act, then you shall indemnify us against that claim. "Indemnifying us" means you will indemnify us and hold us harmless against all costs, expenses, losses, damages or liabilities suffered or incurred by us as a result of or in connection with that third-party claim, including (without limitation) any legal and professional fees. You shall also provide us with all reasonable assistance and information we may request from you in order to enable us to defend and settle the claim and mitigate our (and your) liability.
Termination
Termination by us. Without limiting other rights and remedies, we may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time, and in particular may do so if you are in breach of these Terms of Service or any other contract between you and us.
Termination by you. You may cease your use of the Service, and close your account, by written notice to us at any time. If you do, the Documentation may cease to be available through the Service to you, and to any other users with whom you have chosen to share it.
Termination of access to the Services will not affect any rights or remedies of the parties in existence at the time of termination.
Revisions
We may revise these Terms of Service at any time. If we do so, we shall notify you and require acceptance of the revised Terms of Service prior to your next login to the Service.
General legal provisions
Third party links. In some cases the Service or Documents may contain links third party sites and resources. We have no control over these or over any service provided by those third parties, and assume no responsibility or liability in connection with your use of them.
Entire Agreement. Without affecting any other contract you may have with us, These Terms of Service constitute the entire agreement between the parties in relation to their subject matter. Each party acknowledges that in entering into these Terms of Service it does not rely on any other representation or warranty.
Assignment. We may transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms of Service to another person. You may only transfer your rights or your obligations under these Terms to another person if we agree to this in writing.
Severance. Each of the provisions of these Terms of Services operates separately. If any court or relevant authority decides that any of them (or any part-provision) are unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions (or part-provisions) will remain in full force and effect.
Waiver. No waiver of any right or remedy under these Terms of Service will be effective unless in writing.
Third Party Rights. No third party will have any rights under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 to enforce any of these Terms of Service.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction. These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with their subject matter or acceptance (including non-contractual disputes or claims) will be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and Wales and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations
Navigation and accessing information
Our tables, date range pickers, checkboxes and pagination features are not completely accessible with a keyboard and not all information has been structured in a way that makes sense to all screen readers. This fails WCAG 2.1 success criteria 2.1.1 and 2.4.3.
We are not responsible for the development of the date range pickers and pagination features (third-party plugins). However, we plan to restructure our webpages and replace non-compliant features in future releases, with the aim that all our content will be accessible with a keyboard and understood by assistive technologies like screen readers.
Disproportionate burden
We believe that amending all our user-facing PDFs, for each product version, would have a considerable impact on a small team and would be a disproportionate burden within the meaning of the accessibility guidelines. However, inclusivity is a priority for us and so we would make a WCAG AA guidelines-compliant version of any PDF available on request.
Any new PDFs or Word documents we publish directly will meet accessibility standards.
Preparation of this accessibility statement
This statement was prepared on 28/11/2023. It was last reviewed on 18/06/2024.
These websites were last tested on 24/11/2023.
The test was carried out internally by members of the UX Design and Development teams.
The most-viewed pages were tested using automated testing tools. A further manual audit of the website was carried out to the WCAG 2.1 AA standard.
